ABOUT ME / WHO I AM
My resume and LinkedIn profile mention such things as project manager, front-end web developer, and product manager.
Those titles describe some of the positions I’ve held throughout my career, but they are just a small part of who I am. I started out teaching myself how to design and build web sites from scratch… that was back when Yahoo! Geocities still existed (I’m not joking). Unfortunately, tools like that didn’t give me the control I wanted, and I decided I had to learn how to code, so I did.
What’s more important than all of those skills… I love what I do. I get excited for things like: increases in traffic and conversions, staying within budget, and seeing positive results on a spreadsheet.
Away from my desk I’m just a guy who likes to travel, ride his bicycle, take photos, renovate his new home, and bake amazing desserts.

I was brought on as a consultant to reinvigorate the Trovare brand, optimize their site and content for search engines, expand social media, & build an online presence with new content through the Trovare blog. I started the journey with a complete redesign and SEO audit of the website. I continued with a brand update across all social media accounts, and started to build organic traffic through content marketing.

WORLD TRAVELER | AUG 2015 – MAY 2016
I traveled the world with my wife for 8 months. When all was said and done we visited 27 countries across 4 continents (I ate ice cream in about 24 of them, but that’s a different story). Sure, we had a lot of fun, but we also had challenges along the way brought on by language barriers and cultural differences. We adapted many times to find new opportunities when unforeseen issues forced us to change our plans, proving that long-term travel is not just one big vacation.

PRODUCT MANAGER | AUG 2009 – AUG 2015
A title is just a title. Sure, I managed a product, but when you’re the only person involved in the day to day operations of an entire network of 100+ lead generation sites, it ends up being more than just managing a product. In just a short period of time I found myself involved in SEO strategy, web development, vendor management, digital marketing, and quite a few other responsibilities.

I was hired at Monster as a contractor, brought in to design and update a small number of key web sites in a large network of lead generation sites. I quickly proved that I could be an asset to the company by increasing conversions and revenue. After just one month I was hired full-time, and a little over a year later I was promoted to Product Manager.

More project management. Different department. I managed the production flow of over 300 journal articles (monthly) that were selected by editorial, coded into HTML by the production team, and published on the Medscape web site.
PROJECT MANAGER – SALES OPERATIONS | NOV 2002 – JUN 2005
I was originally hired at WebMD as a contractor, but quickly gained the trust of my colleagues and was hired full time to work for the sales operations team. I managed the production workflow across 3 departments for 500+ sponsored programs, totaling over $26MM in revenue annually.
